Episode 13: The Unlucky One

We really like food! Our Snack of the Day runs into our Tada! picks to create a food coma-inducing mix! Plus, we talk about cell phones and their place in school.
Show Notes
Introduction
We’re recording over Skype because we can, and enjoying our week off with some podcasting!
Snack of the Day
It’s a Tada! tradition to eat something before or during (or after!) the podcast recording session. Today, everyone is eating different things! Chris is munching on Easter candy, David on chocolate bunnies, and Nikki is breaking the fattening trend with her snack of microphones––er, grilled cheese with mustard and banana cream pie.
Picks
This week, we’ve chosen our favorite picks to share with you. Have you found something interesting that you think we should mention on an upcoming show? Let us know in the comments or by e-mail.
- David: Toasted Sesame crackers from Keebler’s
- Chris: Cheese fries from Denny’s
- Nikki: Low-fat ice cream (but don’t eat too much!)
Cell Phones
At Liverpool High School, our school, the cell phone policy is changing. Here’s the new policy:
- By 7:45 – All electronics must be put away
- Between 7:45-2:18 – No student cell phone use
- Music devices in cafeteria only (not in hallways)
- May use phone as music device in cafeteria
- NOT as a phone
- Teachers won’t take phones; will give pink passes
- Referral must be filled out for all offenses regarding cell phones
- Sent to the office if seen in the hallway with a cellphone
We have mixed opinions on the effectiveness of cell phone bans in school. What’s your opinion? E-mail us with your thoughts, or leave a comment below!
