Episode 14: Cell Phone Policy Recap

May 11 2009

Cell Phone

We sum up our feelings on Liverpool’s new cell phone policy, and interview students and teachers for their views.

Sorry about the audio issues! A combination of using Skype for the podcast itself and doing interviews on a whim without our Snowball microphone impeded a bit into the quality. You’ll forgive us though, right? Right?

Show Notes

Introduction

We’re recording over Skype again because we can, and Chris hosts this episode!

Snack of the Day

It wouldn’t be Tada! without snacks to record with, and our hosts certainly can’t podcast on an empty stomach! David and Nikki are decimating the rainbow-colored Goldfish populations, while Chris compares miniature bite-size Oreos to the regular-sized ones.

Picks
This week, we’ve chosen our favorite picks to share with you. Have you found something interesting that you think we should mention on an upcoming show? Let us know in the comments or by e-mail.

  • Nikki: Math classwork!
  • David: The issues surrounding the closing of Guantanamo Bay
  • Chris: XKCD, a Web comic you that have to be a geek to understand, and the new Star Trek movie, which, oddly enough, also kind of requires you to be a geek

Cell Phone Policy Recap

Opinions regarding Liverpool’s freshly-established cell phone policy have been mixed; some students agree with it, others don’t, while most are on the fence. We asked several students and a teacher what their thoughts were on the new policy, and whether or not they thought it was working.

What’s your opinion? We’re interested in hearing what you think about the plan, outlined in our last episode, even if you aren’t a student. E-mail us with your thoughts, or leave a comment below!
